HOLLOW WOODS’ second demo, Endless Trails. Ever aptly monikered, HOLLOW WOODS is a mysterious entity hailing from Finland; naturally, traits of that country’s reigning black metal idiom are certainly detectable here. However, for all the filth and hysteria put forth across the also-aptly-titled Endless Trails, the band’s hammering ‘n’ hypnotic ugliness belies a certain emotive character quite unique amongst its/their countrymen. Just as tangibly physical, too, as those same countrymen, HOLLOW WOODS’ griminess eventually rights itself into a certain sort of majesty (albeit miserable) by the end of this three-song recording. Get lost on these Endless Trails!
