From its very opening moments one gets sucked into a morbid turmoil of spellbinding riffing, incredibly tenebrous and somber, strikingly expressive in its droning distress, an electrical discharge mirroring a grand veil of absolute blackness. A consummate accomplice to the guitar work, the austere, crisp drumming wholly enhances the enthralling experience. Whether in cold blasting pulses or crawling slower pieces, an entirely mesmerizing performance showcases musicality and taste, ultimately contributing for the thick funereal atmosphere as a compelling element in this grand séance. Omnipresent in its impious narration, a voice from the ungodly nether regions consummates these psalms. Low sepulchral howls and inhuman utterings pervade and curse Hexitium’s grave miasma, a cryptic conjuring performance, serpentine and creeping with demonic intent, bewitches this opus and elevates these abyssal emanations to (im)pure exhilaration.
